About Me

I have always been a fan of simple gourmet cuisine and barefoot dining. Now I can combine both, and it makes me incredibly happy!

Cooking for the World in the Algarve

Peak season in the Algarve is long, full of energy, and wonderfully vibrant. People from all over the world travel here to enjoy the sun, the ocean, and great food. Right in the middle of it all, I get to cook almost every day for guests who couldn’t be more diverse.

I truly enjoy this fascinating variety—the different languages, cultures, and generations. Every single day I learn something new, holding onto these precious experiences with deep gratitude.

My catering events are as unique as the people themselves: from lively hen-weeks for daughters and their ten best friends to grand family celebrations where generations fly in from five different countries for grandmother’s birthday; from high school reunions and football team getaways to joyous children’s birthday parties and romantic cliffside proposals.

I feel deeply honored to be part of these extraordinary evenings, helping to complete the happiness of all these wonderful people through my culinary art. Thank you for that!

We had Chef Huckleberry cook for us one evening of my friend’s hen do and honestly it was one of the highlights of the weekend. The food was incredible — full of flavour, and catered perfectly to everyone’s dietary requirements. Chef Huckleberry was professional, friendly, and made the whole experience feel really special and stress-free. It was such a lovely way to celebrate together without anyone having to worry about cooking or cleaning up. Highly recommend!

We were able to enjoy a truly unforgettable experience with Chef Huck. From the start he was very attentive and responsive, and catered to all of our requests (since we had celiac, lactose intolerant and vegetarian people in our group. In the end, we agreed to a family style meal that fit all of us. We were able to taste many lovely dishes and appreciated the incredibly fresh local ingredients. We had a lot of fun and a great evening with him.

We had the best night with chef Huckleberry! We booked him for a birthday dinner during our stay in Algarve. The food was delicious and he really did an impressing job considering our rather limited Airbnb kitchen. He left the kitchen cleaner than it was before. Huckleberry himself was also the sweetest chef - calm and attentative. Would highly recommend booking your dinner party with him.
